Residents at Thomson Impressions will enjoy this nature park in 2018
The 50ha nature park is exceptional because of its history as a Hainanese hamlet, which was renowned for its Rambutan plantation.
“Trails will be developed to give visitors an opportunity to experience the tradition highlights within the website,” said NParks.
“These contain a rare peek of ruins, bases and including old houses of some of the relict trees including regal Ficus trees estimated to be more than 50 years old and the village that used to be found here.”
First declared in 2014, the development of the Thomson Nature Park is part of a larger strategy to encourage in Singapore’s nature reserves.
The present website is home to various locally and rare endangered species including leopard cats, porcupines, pangolins, Samba deers and straw -headed bulbuls.
“ Setting buffer regions including the forthcoming the foraging area wills increase for the species, which has found a rise since the 1990s,” added NParks.
